I did not see the name of Rav She'ar Yashuv Cohen in your article, I had been led to believe that Rav She'ar Yashuv Cohen was also part of the group that made this P'sak; is that correct?
Also, Is it possible for you to tell me of the interaction between the Rabbanim and the Drs.- meaning, did the Rabbanim seem to fully understand the medical issues? Did they ask questions? Were the questions more of an informational nature or were they more probing? Were the Rabbanim ever uncomfortable with what the doctors were saying? Was there an assumption from the beginning about what conclusion would be reached? Was there any pressure from the Misrad HaBri'ut that since they would be doing this anyway, it would be better for the Rabbanut to be involved, even if it was reluctantly?
I am not sure if you are at liberty to answer all of these questions, but if you can it would be greatly appreciated.
