שלום רב, 1. רציתי לדעת האם מותר להסיר עדשות ביום כיפור ולהשרות אותן בחומר מיוחד לעדשות (כאשר הרכבתי אותן לפני כיפור ואני מסירה אותן לפני
the medication Viagra for erectile dysfunction, if a doctor feels the prescription is warranted, are there any halakhic (e.g., kashrus, shabbos) or hashkafic issues that need to be considered?
1. I have never heard of any kashrut problems with Viagra.
2. According to R. Yehoshua Y. Neuwirth (author of Shemirat Shabbat ke-Hilkhata) and R. Shlomo Deichovsky (dayyan in the Supreme Rabbinical Court) there is no halakhic prohibition against medical treatment that enables an impotent patient to function on Shabbat.
