Is a Jew permitted to break Shabbat (pikuach nefesh) for a non Jew? Specifically:
1. A non-Jew is having a heart attack and needs help – his neighbours are not in the vacinity
2. I have looked in the kitzur shulchan aruch and the shulchan aruch but have not found an answer – perhaps I looked in the wrong place. Please give me chapter and verse
3. Is the answer min HaTorah or min Rabbanan?
Thank you
D

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ruled that this holds even if the doctor is alone with the patient. See Nishmat Avraham, Vol. I (Orach Chaim) section 330/8 (end of paragraph 1), Hebrew- new edition, 2007.
