The couple is allowed to use, the PGD (Pre Gestational Diagnosis) with the IVF procedure in order to prevent the birth of a baby with C.F
If diagnosis of a C.F embryo is done early enough, so as to perform termination of pregnancy before the 41st day after conception, it is allowed.
Later – it is a known Halachick controversy regarding termination of pregnancy when there is no life threatening condition for the mother.

שלום! אם יש לי דלקת גרון, חיידק סטרפטוקוקוס, ונתנו לי את התרופה "רפאפן" ואני חייבת ליטול אותה במשך 10 ימים ברצף, 3 פעמים ביום!! אז
