בסיכום

נבדקו עמדותיהם של 88 איש הקשורים לרפואה, בקשר לנתיחה שלאחר המוות. מסתבר כי רק 42% חייבו את הנתיחה.

נמצאו שינויים בעלי משמעות בין הנתיחה לקידום המדע לנתיחה לצרכי אבחון. הודגמו שינויים בעלי משמעות בין יוצאי ארצות המזרח ליוצאי ארצות המערב, ובמיוחד כאשר היתה התיחסות לקרובי משפחה; עובדות אשר הוסברו בחלקן בעמדתם המסורתית של קבוצת יוצאי ארצות המזרח.

מתוצאות בדיקה זו ניתן להסיק, שכל זמן שקיימת שלילה משמעותית בקרב אנשי המקצוע הרפואי לנתיחות מחקר שלאחר המוות, דעת הקהל כלפיהן תמשיך להיות שלילית גם בקרב הציבור החילוני, והמעונין להגדיל את מספר הנתיחות או ליצור דעת קהל חיובית כלפיהן אמור להיכשל.
