also, with regards to working in a hospital in chutz laaretz where all the patients are non jews, what is the source allowing a jewish doctor who has to work on shabbos in this hospital- something about the way the non jews will treat us, if he doesnt?

2. It is permitted to treat a gentile on Shabbat.

לכבוד הרב ד"ר הלפרין,קוראים לי תהילה ראב ואני סטודנטים לרפואה (שנה ג') בהדסה. במסגרת קורס לבריאות הציבור אני מעוניית להוציא עלון שעוסק בהלכות רפואה בשבת
רציתי לשאול בדין מעוברת בשבוע 38, שעוברה במצג עכוז (ביום ראשון יש תור להיפוך), כאשר יש חשש שבשל הצום תתפתח לידה שתצריך ניתוח קיסרי מיידי.
