PGD for determining the sex of a child
Is PGD halachically permissable to determine the sex of a child? I mean to ask if PGD is allowed so that we can chose the

One question that remained unanswered (I have since obtained and learned Shut Maase Choshev, Chashmal B'Halacha, and Electricity and Shabbos (in English):
I would like to know which poskim have sanctioned or encouraged use of the phone on shabbos.

a. In cases of “pikuch nefesh” or “safek pikuch nefesh” there is no reason to use “grama phone” and a regular phone may be used.
b. In cases that are not “pikuch nefesh” or “safek pikuch nefesh”, if the situation is not urgent, no phone should be used.
c. If it is an urgent case (“tzorech gadol”) but it is not “pikuch nefesh” or “safek pikuch nefesh” – than, and only then, a grama phone should be used according to the late Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach.
