I am pregnabt and have been diagnosed with anaphospholipid antibody syndrome. We had a son still born because i had a blood clot that traveled to the umbilical cord. My perinatologist has me taking heparin injections to avoid this happening again. I just discovered that the heparin I am using is produced from pig intestine mucous! The only halachic prohibition regarding pig-derived products is against eating them and, under certain circumstances, conductiong business with them. However, it is permissible to use pig-derived products for making shoes & clothing, and in the pharmaceutical industry.
Therefore you should proceed to follow per your perinatologist's instructions.
