regarding elective surgery – mole removal

Rav Halperin,

My dermatologist has recommened that I get some moles removed for
cosmetic reasons. The moles are on my face.

1) Are there any halachic issues involved in such an operation?
2) Because the moles would be removed with a scalpel (presumably),
would there be an issue of "shaving with a razor" as the moles are
situated where my beard stuble would be?
