using sleep apnea machines on Shabbos

I have been asked to find out about using sleep apnea machines on Shabbos for a congregant

Here is my question

Is this a universal pesak halacha that can be applied to all patients whose doctors have asked them to use a sleep apnea machine or is this limited to cases of extreme sleep apnea

After all there are so many people being told to use these machines nowadays

Also if one has the option of buying any machine they'd like should they look for one that can work with a timer alon and not require any button pushing

Do you know of any such models available in the US
