כבוד הרב שלום! הייתי בנסיעה ולא הספקתי לעשות בזמן (לפני השקיעה) מוך דחוק במשך יומיים. בשני הימים עשיתי בדיקה לאחר השקיעה שיצאה תקינה. האם עלי
AN elderly Jewish gentleman with a history of sick sinus syndrome has a permanent pacemaker placed in 2000. His most recent pacemaker interrogation shows the patient is 100% pacemaker dependent with no underlying rhythm. He now suffers a massive hemorrhagic stroke and herniates. He is pronounced brian dead after appropriate testing. He is requiring pressors for BP support and is paced at 60 BPM. The family would like to know if they can turn the pacemaker off.
The Halachic question of brain death is not a simple one. It is still a controversial issue among the great Jewish scholars (Poskim).

Therefore, the only way to handle such questions is to ask personally the Rov of that Jewish Jentleman for instructions.
