Genetic testing – information disclosure

Hi.  I would like to ask a question concerning a doing genetic testing and its possible implications of disclosure for shidduchim for my children.

I am a 35 year male whom, my physician would like to do a genetic test for Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystroph (FSH) dystrophy.  I have been having very mild symptoms over the last few years that is leading a neurologist whom I went to, towards this diagnosis.
My question is:  If the test were to come back positive, would I have to disclose this in the future when seeking out shidduchim for my children (now all infants, toddlers) ?
I am not an expert in this disorder, but just a little background information.
It is a muscular dystrophy, varying in severity from very mild to moderate.  It is inherited in a autosomal dominant form 2/3 of the time, and results from a spontaneous mutation the other third of the time.  My symptoms are mild (and per the neurologist, I probably only came to him because of my medical knowledge – i am a physician) and am fully functional.  I do not have any family history of it, making it more likely that I have the spontaneous form and would therefor not be passed down.
The reason I want to have the test done is for my peace of mind to know what is the cause of my symptoms and to establish a diagnosis, if chas v'shalom i were to need employment disability because of this in the future.
Thank you very much

We have consulted with prominent Rabbis (and doctors) in the field. Here are two answers to the question:
1.  I see no harm in doing the genetic testing.
If indeed you have the spontaneous form it should not affect shidduchim but I would consult first with the geneticst after you have your results
